The fifth concert of our 28th Season has been organized by Mr. Oren Fader, the first guitarist Friends of Music has had the pleasure to present. Mr. Fader was happily introduced to us by our friend and mentor Wolfram Koessel when we asked if Wolfram would recommend a classical guitarist for the August date.
Oren Fader has recruited four colleagues for our aptly named “Summer Celebration Concert.” Joining him on August 17th will be mezzo-soprano Jessica Bowers, flutist Keith Bonner, violist Jessica Troy and cellist Andrea Lee. The talented ensemble will treat us to a refreshingly different program of compositions spanning the eighteenth through the twenty-first centuries, with a nod to Schubertiads from years past which were organized by our founder Lisa Kovalik.
FoM is once again happy to provide an opportunity for young professional artists to take part in a group and with a program they might not usually find in their musical careers, and likewise to offer a unique experience to area music enthusiasts. Join us to celebrate another glorious summer day in the verdant Catskills with an afternoon of fabulous live musical performance!
