Georgian opera singer Gocha Abuladze was born in Kutaisi, Georgia. From childhood, he was distinguished by his passion for music and singing, thanks to his mother, who was his first music teacher. He graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and continued his studies in Italy with world-renowned masters. At different times, he studied vocal technique with Montserrat Caballé, William Matteuzzi, Lella Cuberli, Vazha Chachava, and Nodar Andguladze.

Abuladze is the winner of more than ten international competitions. One of the most prestigious was the “Magda Olivero” Competition in Milan. He also received the special “Ettore Bastianini” Prize for Best Baritone. His successful European career has included performances at Arena di Verona, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Busseto, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Grange Park Opera in London, Opéra Orchestre National Montpellier, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, and many other opera houses. Across these stages he has performed 27 leading roles and has been widely featured in both European and American press.

In 2014, Gocha Abuladze was named Best Singer of the Season in Germany. His collaboration with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra resulted in the recording of Giuseppe Verdi’s Un giorno di regno, which was broadcast live by Germany’s national radio and continues to be available throughout Europe. In 2019, Abuladze made his successful American debut at Carnegie Hall in New York. In recent years, Gocha Abuladze has continued his active concert career in the United States.
